DanceLife Unite is a new generation dance competition that offers a platform for dance studios and their students from across Australia to showcase their high quality work in front of respected and experienced industry experts.

This new wave of dance competition was created in 2009 to fill a missing hole in the dance industry. We are proud to announce that DanceLife Unite is entering a new phase of development in 2013, with the addition of DanceLife Unite National Elite Championships. DanceLife Unite National Championships will be a positively charged competition like no other with an exceptional prize pool including international travel and dance opportunities with the highest calibre dance celebrities.

DanceLife Unite is a competition unlike any others before it – a competition where talented dancers not only perform in a professional arena, but receive constructive feedback and recognition from a panel of top industry professionals. And with more and more dance-based television shows, films and theatre attracting wide audiences in the past five years, the outlet of dance has never been more popular.

Managing Director Chris Duncan shares founder Clint Salter’s vision of creating a platform to motivate, challenge and inspire Australia’s up and coming dancers. “It is a privilege to be able to support the dance community by bringing such a high calibre competition to the field as DanceLife Unite. I am committed to creating a positive outlet to showcase and celebrate the talents of our next generation of dancers.”

Previous expert judges include Sarah Boulter (Celine Dion Dancer and Choreographer), Jason Winters (Mia Michaels’ assistant and SYTYCD Choreographer), Dianne Heaton (Sydney Agent & Icon), Jason Duff (Jersey Boys resident choreographer), Juliette Verne (Choreographer), Debbie Ellis (Choreographer and Teacher), Josh Horner (Disney Choreographer), Amy Campbell (SYTYCD & Fame) and Aleeta Northey (Choreographer). Joining these judges is a number of industry experts including PJ Clarke from Jeep Management, Christine Denny from Tapatak Oz, Matthew Endycott from Ookina Management, Dale Pope and many more. All our judges have the experience and bring a unique and beneficial element to the competition.

Unlike any other dance competition in Australia, DanceLife Unite offers prizes valued at over $10,000 in the Sydney competition alone. Prizes to be given away across the competition include dance workshops with iconic Australian choreographers such as Kelley Abbey, Juliette Verne, Sarah Boulter, Christine Denny and musical theatre legend Queenie van de Zandt. Cash, gift certificates, theatre tickets and dance products will also be awarded.

Sydney’s DanceLife Unite 2013 will be held on Saturday 18, Sunday 19, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May 2013.

The competition is open to the public and will be held at The Science Theatre, University New South Wales, Anzac Parade, Kensington.

The Team from DanceLife Unite look forward to working with you on this exciting project!
