FAQ

At DanceLife Unite we want to eliminate any questions you might have now so here are a few common questions and answers that might help you out. If your question isn’t answered below please call us at our office on 0419 436024 or e-mail us at info@dancelifeunite.com.au.

I’VE ALREADY SENT IN MY ENTRIES AND FORGOT A ROUTINE.

Please call us on 0419 436024 or email info@dancelifeunite.com.au to discuss options, if it is before 16th March 2012 please complete an additional entry form and send or email it to our office.

HOW DO I MAKE CHANGES TO THE ENTRIES I’VE SENT?

Email your changes to info@dancelifeunite.com.au.  Changes can be made up to 6 weeks prior to your event, changes after this date will incur a change fee of $8, you will receive written confirmation for all changes made.

HOW DO YOU ACCEPT MUSIC?

We only accept CD’s. All routines must be on separate CD’s with it labelled clearly (studio name, section, competitor number and AMCOS number).

WHAT TIME DO WE NEED TO BE THERE?

You need to arrive for music registration at the beginning of your session at the time stated on your schedule.

WHEN WILL I GET A TIME FRAME FOR MY ROUTINES?

DanceLife Unite will email you a copy of your act numbers and schedule approximately 4 weeks prior to the competition. If you do not receive a copy via email please contact our office on 0419 436024 or email info@dancelifeunite.com.au. It’s your responsibility to know when you are performing.

WHEN DO I GET A PROGRAM?

Pre-ordered programs will be posted to you two weeks before the event. There will also be programs available for purchase during the event.


HOW MANY ACTS CAN I ENTER?

There is a limit of two routines per section per studio. If you have an extra routine our suggestion would be to place this in the Entertainment Section.


HOW DO I KNOW THAT MY ENTRY HAS BEEN RECEIVED?

If you have not received a confirmation email within fourteen days from sending your entry form please contact our office.  

IF I CAN’T TURN UP FOR MY EVENT CAN I GET A REFUND?

Unfortunately entry fees are non refundable unless the event is cancelled.

I HAVE A NUMBER OF TEACHERS AT THE STUDIO, HOW MANY COMPLIMENTARY PASSES DO YOU GIVE TO STUDIOS?

Each studio will receive a minimum of 2 adult day passes per day. By entering 10 or more routines in the competition means the number of complimentary day passes you receive will increase.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM LATE FOR THE START OF MY EVENT?

Unfortunately if you are late, after registering at the sound desk, you can perform at the end of the section for comments but you will be disqualified from winning any prizes.

MY ITEM IS OVER THE TIME ALLOWED. WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I GO OVER TIME?

The five minute time limit must be strictly adhered to (6 minutes for Open Age). If you are over time you will be disqualified from receiving a prize and receive comments only.

WHERE DO I REGISTER WHEN I GET TO THE SCIENCE THEATRE?

When you enter the front doors, you will see two tables – the one on the right is the registration desk, where the DanceLife Unite Staff Member will take your CD.

I CAN’T STAY TILL THE END OF THE COMPETITION. HOW WILL I KNOW WHO WON?

You can look up the results on the website.

MY STUDIO WON A PRIZE BUT THERE WAS NO PRIZE MONEY, HOW DO I GET IT?

Cash prizes are directly deposited into your nominated bank account progressively within 21 days of the event.
